Waffle and Pony are two young adult cats whose humans were relocating to Australia. One of the humans was friends with other humans’ son. The son’s human parents were happy to have Waffle and Pony move in with them.
Both Pony and Waffle were rescue cats, and, if I remember correctly, both were feral kittens when their previous humans adopted them.
This blog is so Waffle and Pony’s original humans can see how they are doing and it also serves as a place for Waffle and Pony to express themselves.
Waffle
Waffle is a 2-and-a-bit year-old tabby-patterned female. It’s highly likely she’s got a hefty amount of Maine coon or Norwegian Forest cat in her. She’s pretty big! And fluffy.
She’s very laid back, although she enjoys playing — especially with the thing on a wire.
She seems to like to follow Pony around, but is also happy to be on her own.
She likes to be petted, especially on her head and neck. She’s got a lovely purr.

Pony
Pony is also 2-and-a-bit years-old. He’s pure white with a gray patch that goes from his forehead, between his ears, and ends on the back of his neck.
He’s very smart. His previous human said that Pony has figured out how to get treats out of a cat treat puzzle by flipping the puzzle over!
He’s sleek and muscular. We started to call him “Tony Pony” because 1) he’s fashionable and stylish and 2) because he reminds me a little of Tony Fauci (at least our bubblehead version)
